Newsletter Day 13
Hi , Tuesday, Oct 13, 2009
Send to a Friend
Tuesday, Day 13 of your Quitober Challenge.
I hope 13 is lucky for some! So... it looks like some of you would prefer not to be reminded of smoking while in the process of quitting... as I mentioned below I probably would be the same. The title of this newsletter is "get rid of reminders" of which this newsletter is one! I will do some thinking on how to solve this problem.. i.e. you could opt out to only receive weekly email possibly.Quitober Says:
Well it looks like everyone comes alive again after the weekend & have contributed some very interesting feedback. We would still love some feedback on the Quitober stickers & lapel pin in your Quitober pack & anything that comes to mind? Hey,... please check out our You Tube Spot below for a laugh.
Your Say
Nicholas from UA says: Still hanging in ….. weekend came and went and now it’s Monday again.. found it not too bad this weekend and so far today I have not really thought about the FAG…. So touch wood all seems to be going well!!
Quitober reply: Great to hear Nicholas
Erin from USyd says: At first I found it hard getting the reminder emails from Quitober..
as I'd rather turn my mind away from smoking rather than to.. went to the dentist on
Friday thought and he could already tell I've quit smoking... nice not to get the usual lecture :)
Quitober reply: I see... I thought some of the members would prefer that, I probably would myself. Ah well, all part of the pilot to test. Thanks for your feedback.
Erin from USyd says: Thanks for all your work on Quitober :)

Quit Smoking Tips
Tip 13 : *Tips supplied by Quitnet.com
Get rid of reminders.
Be sure to get rid of all your cigarettes and cigarette butts, matches and ashtrays.
Doing so symbolizes your determination to quit, and helps prevent visual triggers.
It will be easier for you to stay quit if there are no reminders of smoking, and no easy access to cigarettes, in your home. Take pride in your decision to quit, and make part
or all of your home smoke-free. If there are smokers in your life, find a respectful way to ask them not to smoke around you. A smoke-free home environment will be a big help to you in the early weeks of quitting.
